2012 Kelleher

2012 Kelleher "Brix Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2012 Napa Valley growing season was a dream. Perfect weather from start to finish, the 2012 vintage of our estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon reflects this excellence. This is a wine that gives you a true sense of what Oakville AVA wines can offer with respect to terroir. Earthy, full bodied, fruit driven and memorable. After spending nearly 6 years in bottle, this wine is drinking beautifully now but can easily age for 5+ more.

"This is quite extracted with a cold, phenolic character and hints of walnuts and blackberries. Full body, chewy tannins and a fresh
finish. Should develop nicely with bottle age. Try in 2018."

"Soft and silky, this wine shows rich chocolate flavor and is light in oak and fleshy on the palate. Full-bodied and ripe, it finishes in a grip of dust." 90 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Large formats also available: Magnum (1.5 L) and the very limited Double Magnum (3 L).

Our 2012 Kelleher “Brix Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep dark ruby color with gorgeous aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry. Aged for 24 months in 50% new French oak and 50% once-used French oak barrels, our Cabernet Sauvignon is bold, fruit forward and impressive. Look for a hint of toasted vanilla and a dash of spice on the palate. The well structured yet smooth tannins are present throughout the lingering finish and you can count on enjoying this wine for many years to come. 92 Points

Wine Profile

Ratings 92 Points-Robert Parker "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with graphite, licorice, forest floor and new saddle leather, with toasty vanilla lurking in the background. It is full-bodied, fleshy and dramatic as it is a faithful reflection of this ostentatious and impressive vintage. Drink it over the next 12-15+ years. "
Food Pairing Notes Our Cabernet Sauvignon will pair beautifully with lamb, rib-eye, filet, blue cheese.
